Isn't the NET amazing?
Sarah D contacted me from the UK, wanting to know where she could buy a copy of my book 'Mr Panda's Tea Party' for her favourite nephew Colin who LOVES pandas.
I was interested to find out more about the book. My nephew is just crazy about pandas. His name is Colin and he is very special. He has lots of toy pandas and likes to have tea parties with them so I googled panda tea party and your book came up! Can you tell me a bit more about what it is about please?
This was my reply:
I am very happy to send him a copy of my little book which is all about a toy panda having a tea party which I am sure Colin would love, if you read it to him.
The book's only a few pages with a couple of sketches - not really illustrated and was actually the inspiration for a TV series I am trying to get made.
Mr Panda is a toy who belongs to the lady next door. She's about to have a baby so she washes all her old toys and hangs them out to dry. A lonely little girl called Jessica hears Mr Panda crying as he hangs on the washing line next door...
I'm enclosing a picture... but won't tell you the rest of the story because I don't want to spoil it. Surfice it to say that my style is similar to Enid Blyton.
But if you send me a snail mail address I'll gladly print one out and post it off at no charge just because Colin loves having tea parties with his toys just like I did when I was a child.
She replied:
Your book sounds wonderful, I'm sure that Colin would love it. If you could write a message to Colin from you that would be lovely too. Then when your television series is made Colin would be able to tell his friends that he owned the book right from the beginning?
How gorgeous is that!!!!
So - if there are any producers out there looking for a Children's TV Series who want to read the Series Bible ~ 'Mr Panda Lives Next Door', please contact me!
It's wonderful to hear from anyone interested in my books or stories.
