Based on my unpublished novel, a murder mystery.

Tween feature adaptation:
Frances first purchased OPTIONS on the 'No' series of tween books by the well-known and awarded Melbourne children's author Krista Bell in 2004, for adaption to screen as 'No Strings' (working title). Scripts registered with AWG.

Frances is seeking a producer or director for her project which is available in Feature Script or TV Series idea.

Her mother and sister were both professional dancers, so ballet was in her blood!"

SYNOPSIS:
Jack & Margaret fell in love during the Blitz. He was a Squadron Leader in the Pathfinder RAF Squardron, she was a WRAAF drill Sargeant teaching his men to defend themselves - and half their size.
When the WWII ended he drove buses & taxis until they flew to Africa where he could run an airport and chase lions off the runway before a plane could land.
But they didn't escape war, they just found another one between tribes - their fight for independance which most often resulted in massacre.

Contemporary action global drama 
SYNOPSIS:
Sea pirates have raided Pectral Petroleum's ships once too often in Asian Seas. A crack SAS team from Perth are employed to deal with this menace. Today's raiders bear no resemblance to the romantic image of yesteryear. These operators use the latest in high-tech surveillance to track every move of ships around the globe. Money is in great supply!

1st Draft TWEEN Feature
(A contemporary re-telling of 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' with sincere apologies to Lewis Carroll. )
SYNOPSIS:
Alyce is BIG in her world & first ‘sees’ Whitey in the school corridor. Convinced he's looking for her, she follows but he keeps disappearing behind doors.
Throughout the film, each door opens onto a new scene; McDonald’s car park, Whitfords shops - illustrations of her life, with Alyce always chasing her idol.
At the shops a huge grinning cat gives her a lolly-pop which makes her SHRINK into Whitey’s world.
It starts at the cinema where Whitey is larger than life on screen & continues at Pot Black in Hillarys when she bumps into two big fat guys searching for Whitey.
In the nightclub, a jealous bitch dressed in red hearts taunts her to take a pill which ENLARGES Alyce & she begins to see her idol Whitey quite differently.
She finally realised, he’s not what she wants. His rude rejection pushes a confused Alyce to the beach alone. Mad Mick follows her.
Dennis has just finished working in the cafe. He turns up when Mad Mick tries to get too close. Alyce notices he is very cute in his uniform.
Perhaps he’s the one!

Adaptation of my original Children's book.
Her new Mum & Dad moved & Jessica had to come too! A new house, new school, new suburb with no kids. All the neighbours were out at work - the place was deserted a& she was lonley.
She was sitting in the only tree in the garden when she heard someone crying. "OOOhhh - my head. My poor old head!" When she looked over the fence, all she could see were some soft toys hanging on the line.
"Little Girl?" There was a pink panda's body hanging out to dry with his head pegged next to him.
Next thing she knew, she was having a tea party with him, all fixed up - stitched together, clean & dry.
And there were lots of other too - Golly, Leo, Trevor Turtle and Suzette the Snake. But Jessica wasn't frightened- she was with friends.

‘Santa’s Swim’ - SYNOPSIS:
Mandy looses her favourite Nanna keepsake while fishing with her little brother. Mandy's had worn the little Santa statue around heer neck since Nanna had taken it off the Christmas cake - the last she ever cooked. While down in the deep, deep sea, the little statue has all sorts of adventures until he's miraculously returned to Mandy. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without Santa, would it?
(The first in the Mandy series - 6 - 10yr olds)
Children’s book to real/animated feature
‘The Swimming Pool People’ about creatures who live in backyard swimming pools won the FAWWA Furphy Award in 1994 for the Best Unpublished Children’s Manuscript: 6 - 10yr olds.

SCREEN HISTORY:
Frances Wrote, Produced & Directed her first 16mm film 'Some Folks Folk' in 1983 with the crew from Friends Film Productions.
During the early 80's Frances & her film partner Peter Aquilina started a small prod-co called SPHINX PRODUCTIONS. Their first project, a music video 'Shattered Windows' won Peter the FTI Young Filmakers Award.
Although both eventually went to work for Mid-Western TV, while independent they produced vision for Eastern States clients and edited or made videos for broadcast such as '1983 WA Italian Song Festival', 'Declaration of a City' for the City of Wanneroo & the Ocean Landing Timeshare Resort.
Frances found herself presenting a daily Community Diary on-air and writing news scripts and ads for the production department while acting as Secretary to Mike Dorsey. When MWTV was sold, she was asked to continue 'on-air' but preferred to focus on writing.
Between 1986 & 1998, Frances divorced and need to focus on her two young children. She concentrated on writing books, poetry and earning a degree.
Appointed the moderator of an AWG On-Line Scriptwriting Group by Lucy Temple in 2006 fed her creative juices and she got back into scriptwriting with a vengance.
For the last few year, Frances has judged scripts for AWG Insite & Monte Miller, the AFIs & the local WA Screen Awards, administered by FTI.
In 2005 her short script 'LOVE YOU MUM' was chosen from 47 others sent to Adelaide Centre for the Arts for production by 2nd year students. Producer: Matt Pearson and Director: David Ockenden chose the script as their final year project.
Firstly nominated 7 times in the Adelaide Film Festival Short Screen Awards 2007 the film continued to win or was nominated for numerous awards both here, Canada & America.
